Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC seeks a Full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Interventional and Structural Heart Program. The role combines inpatient rounds, consultations and outpatient clinic visits in a hybrid setting with no on-call requirements.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team including physicians and imaging specialists, providing high-quality cardiology care across the inpatient and outpatient continuum.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina.
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
• BLS/ACLS Certified.
• ACNP/AGACNP certification may be required based on population served.
• Acute Care Certification required for Nurse Practitioners.
• NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants is required.

Interventional and Structural Heart Program

Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute's is seeking a Full-time advanced practice provider (APP) to join our growing team at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

• This position is occupied by board certified physician assistants and/or acute care nurse practitioners trained and proficient in providing cardiac services.
• The APP in this position will function at the top of their license in the inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic-based setting in collaboration with a supervising physician and other members of a multidisciplinary team.
• This role will be an integral component of a high functioning multidisciplinary team of providers including cardiology APPs, interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and imaging cardiologists.
• The APP is responsible for inpatient daily rounds, consultations, admissions, and discharges, along with clinic appointments.
• The APP is competent inpatient examinations, medication management, and ordering laboratory/radiologic testing and interpretation of results, including ECGs.
  

Position Responsibilities

• This is a medical cardiology role. APP is not expected to perform procedures but will manage patients pre and post procedurally. Cabarrus is a STEMI center and as a part of the Structural Heart Program procedures such as TAVRs, PFO closures, and LAA closures are performed.
• APP is expected to perform admission, rounding, consult and discharge notes on patients in the inpatient and ED setting, along with same day procedure setting. APP is also expected to adequately perform clinic visits in the outpatient setting.
• Full time day shift, 40-hour work week, 4 x 10-hour shifts. No call or night shift.
• Setting that they will be working – Hybrid (inpatient/outpatient). APP is expected to see 14 outpatients on a full day of clinic.
• Opportunity to participate in committees, teaching – Opportunities to participate in committees, especially those around improving care for individual service line. APP is expected to participate in education of APP fellows, MD students, residents, or in onboarding of new APPs.
• Interventional Team – There are currently 3 APPs and 4 MDs on the team at Cabarrus. The applicant is expected to learn to cross cover at CMC as part of the broader Interventional program, totaling 14 APPs and 14 MDs.
• Work independently and work well with a team. He or she will be responsible for the management of patients undergoing catheter-based interventions for coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease, along with providing general cardiology care and heart failure management in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  

Position Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.
• Nurse practitioners with Master's degree of Doctorate of Nursing Practice. ACNP, AGACNP required based on population served.
• Nurse practitioners are required to have Acute Care Certification
• Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required.

• 1+ years of experience as a provider required; experience in Cardiology
