Job summary

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Concord, NC, invites experienced APPs to join its electrophysiology team. This part-time weekend role operates in a hybrid inpatient/outpatient setting, offering the chance to work with a large group of physicians and APPs dedicated to cardiovascular care.

Ideal candidates will be licensed as an NP or PA in North Carolina, hold prescriptive privileges and a DEA registration, and possess BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited NP/PA program and licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
• BLS/ACLS certification mandatory.
• NCCPA certification required for Physician Assistants; Acute Care NP Certification for NPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrophysiology patient care as part of the EP team.
• Collaborate with MDs and APPs in hybrid inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Support weekend/weekend shift coverage and patient throughput.

Sanger Heart & Vascular Instituteis one of the Southeast's largest cardiac and vascular programs providing the highest quality care available to patients with cardiovascular disease throughout North and South Carolina. Sanger employs more than 110 physicians in a network of more than 25 locations to provide the highest quality care available to patients with cardiovascular disease. Sanger has more than 50 years of experience in providing comprehensive acute and chronic cardiovascular services, including the region's only heart transplant center and pediatric heart surgery program.

Position Highlights:

• Part time, Weekend shift
• No call coverage
• Hybrid (inpatient/outpatient)
• Average of twenty cases with five admissions per provider
• Team of 13 MDs & 17 APPs

Ideal candidates:

• Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.
• Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required
• Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification required
• 1+ years of experience in cardiology and/or electrophysiology
• Effective team collaborator
