Job summary

Mason City Clinic in Mason City, Iowa seeks a BC/BE Interventional Cardiologist to join its Cardiology department. The team provides inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services with a full range of cardiology care including invasive, interventional, and EP, working with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.

The growing structural heart center includes a TAVR program and active LAAO/Watchman efforts, supported by a heart team and residency/ fellowship training opportunities within MercyOne

Qualifications

• BC/BE—must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible.
• H1B & J1 candidates encouraged to apply.
• All offers are contingent upon references, background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
• Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Must obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Above-average communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Licensed or eligible for Iowa license; Iowa CDS certificate and Federal DEA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Join the busy practice of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 NPs.
• Provide full range of cardiology services including invasive/interventional and EP.
• participate in TAVR and Watchman programs as part of a growing structural heart center.
• Engage in outreach at multiple hospitals within the network.
• Support a Cardiology fellowship training program.
