The Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Department of Neurological Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University are seeking a fellowship-trained interventional spine physician as a faculty member in the Division of Sports Medicine and Exercise Medicine (DS&EM).

The faculty member will work closely with the DS&EM Division Director and the Department of Neurological Surgery to achieve the following objectives:
The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
Excellence in patient care is a core value of DS&EM. Our faculty come from diverse training backgrounds, offering unique perspectives on patient care, especially for athletes. We provide comprehensive musculoskeletal services, focusing on restoring quality of life and function, with personalized nutrition, exercise, and training advice. We also support patients managing chronic conditions who wish to maintain or increase physical activity. Our physicians work closely with surgical partners for seamless referrals.
Our sports medicine fellowship program, established in 1996, offers specialized training with a focus on clinical excellence and health equity. Our graduates hold leadership roles in various fellowships nationally and are integral in caring for collegiate and professional athletes. We also offer electives for medical students and residents.
The DS&EM collaborates with the Department of Neurological Surgery to provide evidence-based care for spine and musculoskeletal disorders. The ideal candidate will excel in working with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, therapists, and behavioral health professionals.
