Overview

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in general musculoskeletal skills, strong clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Candidates should bring to this position expertise through special experiences or additional fellowship training in Interventional Spine, Pain Management or Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
• Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide coordinated interdisciplinary care for patients as part of our Spine Center.
• Lead interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
• As an academic faculty member, provide outstanding teaching and mentoring for Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
