The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at thePerelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenureacademic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specificarea of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus onGeneral Rehabilitation. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalentdegree. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualificationsin clinical care. Applicants must be Board Certified or BoardEligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine andRehabilitation.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring ofPenn medical students and residents as well as alliedprofessionals.

Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with othersurgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level ofinterdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients. This role willinclude attending physician for a comprehensive integratedinpatient service, consult service and outpatient programs.Applicants must possess broad clinical skills in managingoutpatients with spine and musculoskeletal disorders.

Selected candidates must have excellent, well refined interpersonalskills and leadership abilities to effectively lead ourinterdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Candidates should havestrong clinical training, enthusiasm, and a commitment tofurthering our clinical services and advancing our academicmissions.
