Job summary

St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center, part of Catholic Health on Long Island, seeks an Interventional/Special Procedures Technologist to assist physicians during interventional and surgical procedures, prepare patients, and manage supplies and devices.

You will support safe operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and help with direct patient care. You will educate patients and families, advocate for their needs, and collaborate with radiology and nursing teams in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology is required.
NYDOH License is required.
ARRT Certification is required.
BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association is required.
One or more years of experience as a practicing OR x-ray technologist in a high volume setting is preferred.
Interventional radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Knowledge to perform specialized technical skills in vascular, non-vascular, and interventional procedures.
Participates in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive procedures.
Assist the radiologist and nursing team for interventional procedures.
Maintains a high-level of competency as it relates to the operation of all radiographic equipment, including C-arm, O-arm, Hybrid Equipment Rooms, Power Injector and Interventional suites.
