Catholic Health Services invites applications for an Interventional/Special Procedures Technologist at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center on Long Island.

This role supports physicians during interventional and surgical procedures and ensures safe operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited radiology program with NYDOH and ARRT certifications and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology is required.
• NYDOH License is required.
• ARRT Certification is required.
• BLS by American Heart Association is required.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a practicing OR x-ray technologist in a high volume setting is preferred.
• Interventional radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge to perform specialized technical skills in vascular, non-vascular, and interventional procedures.
• Participates in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive procedures.
• Assist the radiologist and nursing team for interventional procedures.
• Maintains a high-level of competency as it relates to the operation of all radiographic equipment, including C-arm, O-arm, Hybrid Equipment Rooms, Power Injector and Interventional suites.
