Job Details

The Interventional/Special Procedures Technologist will provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra- and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, and direct patient care. The role is responsible for safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures, and serves as a patient and family educator, advocate, and liaison.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized technical skills in vascular, non-vascular, and interventional procedures.
• Participate in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive procedures.
• Assist the radiologist and nursing team during interventional procedures.
• Maintain a high level of competency in operating all radiographic equipment, including C-arm, O-arm, Hybrid Equipment Rooms, Power Injector, and Interventional suites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology (required).
• NYDOH License (required).
• ARRT Certification (required).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association (required).
• One (1) or more years of experience as an OR x-ray technologist in a high-volume setting (preferred).
• Interventional radiology experience (preferred).

Salary

USD $55.65 – $55.65 per hour.
