Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist at RWJUH Rahway Hospital to perform complex radiology angiographic and interventional procedures with strict imaging standards.

You will collaborate with radiologists and nurses, ensure patient safety, position patients, and document exams in EMR/PACS. The role requires NJCXT license or ARRT eligibility and the ability to work day shifts on-site.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• NJ Certified X-Ray Technologist (NJCXT) license or ARRT eligibility.
• Active credentials and ability to work with interventional imaging.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for procedures and rapid sequence filming.
• Operates fluoroscopy, diagnostic equipment, and related software safely.
• Assists radiologists during angiographic and interventional procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and handles interventional supplies.
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Monitors radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Documents exams in EMR/PACS promptly.
• Works collaboratively within the imaging department.
