Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a skilled scrub tech for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will assist physicians with catheter-based procedures, operate imaging and monitoring equipment, and support patient care under the supervision of the Cath Lab Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT certification and Texas license.
• BLS certification must be current at start or within 30 days.
• ACLS completion within 3 months after hire/promotion.
• Experience assisting in Cardiac Catheterization procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Cardiologists/Electrophysiologists as a scrub assistant, including insertion and manipulation of cardiac catheters, diagnostic and interventional procedures, angiogram injections and acquisitions.
• Operating physiological monitoring and imaging equipment.
• Performs radiographic procedures including contrast administration per policy.
• Inventory maintenance and participation in performance improvement.
• Transporting patients between departments.
