Interventional Radiology Technologist PRN

Description

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, 10 hour shift 4 days per week with rotating day off each week
  • PRN: 4 shift month minimum requirement

Required Certifications: ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT-VI Interventional Rad (ARRT-VI) - (VI Preferred)

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs IR procedures under general supervision, on ambulatory and hospital patients, as requested by a physician, for diagnosis of disease and injury following established protocols.

Essential Functions
  1. Performs high-quality IR procedures efficiently, maintaining standards and procedures.
  2. Uses AIDET communication to identify patient needs, ensure correct exam, and build rapport.
  3. Prepares patient and area for procedures, including positioning and equipment adjustments.
  4. Adheres to safety, infection control, and radiation policies, using sterile techniques as needed.
  5. Maintains equipment and work area, reports issues, and assists with supplies inventory.
  6. Screen visitors for safety compliance.
  7. Maintains documentation including requisitions, patient history, consent forms, and policies.
  8. Records medical imaging in the appropriate system promptly.

  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and patient safety.
  • Ability to serve as a trainer and take call if required.
Certifications
  • ARRT-R Radiography is required.
  • Within two years of hire, certification in ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV, or ARRT-VI is required.
