DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Complete radiology and imaging services using the latest technology

Radiology Services at UWMC-Montlake is the premier choice for imaging in the Pacific Northwest. From basic screening tests to cutting-edge procedures, our state-of-the-art equipment, skilled technologists, and diverse, world-class academic radiologists deliver timely, accurate results.

All of UW Medicine’s radiologists are board-certified and specialize in areas such as neuroradiology, body radiology, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography, and chest radiology. Imaging findings are integrated with all clinical data to generate comprehensive and actionable patient assessments.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under general direction from the Imaging Lead and/or Imaging Supervisor, perform complex technical procedures and assist physicians during clinical and research examinations such as angioplasties, embolizations, chemotherapy treatments, and intracranial procedures.
• Participate in the training of residents, fellows, and students.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Satisfactory completion of formal technology training in an AMA-approved school, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or equivalent education/experience.
