Job summary

Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Part-Time Radiology Technician to join our award-winning community hospital. You will work with Radiologists on advanced imaging procedures, supporting life-changing, minimally invasive treatments in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

The role requires an AMA-approved radiographic program, NYS licensure, ARRT registration, and BLS certification, with 2–3 years of radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of two year AMA-approved school of radiographic technology required
• Current valid Rad Tech NYS License required
• American Registry of Radiological Technology Registry/ARRT (R) required
• BLS certificate required
• 2-3 years Radiology Tech exp. including one year Interventional Radiology exp. preferred, but we will consider exceptional new graduate Rad Tech candidates.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Imaging: Utilize state-of-the-art imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images, often with a high degree of autonomy and precision.
• Collaborative Support: Work hand-in-hand with Radiologists, providing critical assistance during a wide array of complex interventional procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, drainages, and embolizations.
• Patient-Centered Care: Play a vital role in coordinating patient services, ensuring seamless care delivery & exceptional experiences for patients & referring providers.
• Safety & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of radiation safety and patient confidentiality, adhering strictly to NYSDOH and JCAHO regulations.

Education

Two year AMA-approved school of radiographic technology

Current valid Rad Tech NYS License

ARRT (R) certification

BLS certificate

2-3 years Radiology Tech experience (preferred)
