Job summary

IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab providing interventional radiology services in outpatient settings across the United States. As an IR Technologist, you will prepare patients and rooms for procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and assist physicians during interventional cases.

A high school diploma, ARRT and BLS certification, and scrub tech experience of 2 years are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• Scrub Tech experience: 2 years.
• ARRT Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians.
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes.
