Job summary

IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab providing interventional radiology services in outpatient settings across the U.S. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will prepare patients and rooms, assist physicians during procedures, maintain sterile technique, and help with equipment, supplies, and patient billing while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BLS certification is preferred.
• ARRT or CST certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience as a surgical technologist or scrub tech is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews orders and sets up/cleans rooms with necessary supplies.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into C-Arm and assists during procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, labels medications, and processes x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians and assists with billing/CPT/ICD codes
