Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a licensed Radiographer to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging at St John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. You will operate radiology equipment, assist physicians, monitor patients, and maintain sterile technique in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Reqs include an associate degree in radiologic technology, ARRT RT(R) certification, BLS, two years of interventional radiology experience, and state licensure; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or related field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in interventional radiology or special procedures is required.
  • Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required.
  • ARRT RT(R) certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
  • Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images per physician orders.
  • Assist physicians with procedures by monitoring, passing instruments, and maintaining sterile field.
  • Support education, training and quality improvement processes.

Job description

Pay Range: $34.21 - $51.31 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. Performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting. Operates conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders. Assists the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures, by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician. Supports the education, training and quality improvement process. Position Specifics:

Education Qualifications Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is required. Bachelor’s degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or related field is preferred.

Experience Qualifications 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or special procedures is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required. Certification as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (RT(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
