Job summary

Prime Healthcare, Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Cath Lab technician for a full-time day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) with on-call responsibilities. You will scrub and monitor data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, ensuring the room is prepared and supplies are ready.

Qualifications include ARRT-R or state license, IR department experience preferred, BCLS and ACLS within specified timelines, and strong computer

• BCLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:00am - 3:30pm)

On-Call Required

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• 2. Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• 3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• 4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Proficient computer skills.
