Brown University Health seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist to support interventional radiology and angiographic procedures. You will assist physicians, maintain aseptic technique, and manage equipment setup, patient positioning, and contrast monitoring.

The role requires two years of formal radiologic training, RI licensure, and experience with catheterization procedures. You will work in a hospital setting, upholding safety standards and contributing to patient care across life spans.

Competenze

• Two years of formal training in a School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Must be Registered Radiologic Technologist with current license to work in the State of Rhode Island.
• Three months training in aseptic techniques and training in specialized catheterization studies.

Mansioni

• Assists the radiologist in the diagnosis of diseases as requisitioned by patients’ physician.
• Assists radiologist in carrying out interventional and angiographic procedures.
• Maintains aseptic conditions during special procedures.
• Performs scrub duties and circulating duties during procedures involving selective catheterization of arteries with digital and radiographic equipment.
• Sets up surgical trays, supplies and equipment and passes instruments as required.
• Prepares and drapes patient and positions patient.
• Monitors reaction to iodine contrast injection and checks peripheral pulses.
• Sets up and operates high‑pressure injector and assists in operation of all diagnostic equipment.
• Maintains and input in hospital information systems and trains new staff as needed.
