Job summary

Atrium Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a capable Interventional Radiology Technologist to provide specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage for interventional procedures under physician supervision.

The role requires ARRT Radiology certification or RCIS registry and BLS, with sign‑on bonus eligibility and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology certification or RCIS registry is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program or RCIS training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under physician direction.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and preps the patient for the procedure.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, certified technologist, or nurse.
• Circulates during the procedure and maintains patient comfort.
• Provides supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Provides necessary report information to holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Records and processes hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
• Communicates equipment malfunctions to leadership or department engineer for repairs.

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Position Highlights

• Sign On Bonus: $15,000 sign on bonus for qualified new hires or $10,000 for qualified new graduates in this specialty.
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 in Relocation Assistance (for qualified candidates)

What You Need

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology or RCIS graduate from a Cardiovascular Interventional Training Program
• ARRT certification in Radiology or RCIS registry required
• BLS required

What You Will Do
