Job summary

IR Centers is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Scrub Tech) to join our outpatient private practice in Troy, MI. You will assist in preparing patients and rooms for procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and pass instruments during interventions, with a Monday–Friday day shift and no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities include setup/cleanup, patient transfers, sterile technique, and data entry for radiology procedures, while complying with HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid BLS Certification required.
• At least 1 year of hands-on in a sterile procedural environment in the last 5 years; scrubbed cases required.
• ARRT Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians.
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes.

IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab. We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Scrub Tech), you will assist in preparing patients and procedure rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready. You will maintain a sterile environment, assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments, and help with patient positioning and transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Valid BLS Certification

• Proficient in maintaining a sterile field
• Experienced in scrubbing in for surgical procedures
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment

Working conditions

Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities are available.
