Job summary

IR Centers in Town & Country, MO is seeking an experienced Radiology Assistant to support interventional procedures in an outpatient setting. You will prepare patients and rooms, assist physicians, and ensure sterile technique throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, BLS, and at least one year of hands-on experience in a sterile procedural environment; ARRT certification is preferred. This full-time position offers day shifts, weekdays, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and valid BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of hands-on in sterile procedural environment within last 5 years.
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys
• Ensures effective communication with physicians
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes

Qualifications

• High school diploma

• ARRT Certification (Preferred)

Working conditions

Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities are available.
