Job summary

Novant Health's East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC is seeking an Interventional Rad Tech to join our acute care team. Day shift with 40 hours/week, 7:00am-3:30pm, rotating call, no weekends or holidays.

You will provide safe, high-quality imaging, verify patient history, administer contrast, perform venipuncture, and ensure image accuracy before interpretation. ARRT certification and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program is required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification (RT(R)) and state licensure are required; IV credentialing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality imaging services while verifying patient information and history.
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures per established protocols and adjust techniques for patient needs.
• Administer contrast/medications and perform venipuncture as permitted and prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and proper patient identification before interpretation.
• Provide compassionate patient care, explain procedures and respond to patient concerns or emergencies.

What You'll Do

• Provide safe, high-quality imaging services while verifying patient information, history, allergies, and appropriate preparation.


• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols and adjust techniques based on patient needs.


• Administer contrast/medications and perform venipuncture as permitted and prescribed.


• Evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and proper patient identification before sending for interpretation.


• Provide compassionate patient care, explain procedures, and respond appropriately to patient concerns or emergencies.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree. preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.


• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, required. Minimum of one year of experience in Interventional Radiology, preferred.


• Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography – RT(R), required. IV Credentialed, preferred. Applicable state licensure, required.


• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Thorough knowledge of interventional procedure and activity.
