Job summary

Prostate Centers USA in Nashville, TN is seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to assist in preparing patients and procedure rooms for surgeries, maintain a sterile environment, and support physicians during radiology procedures.

You will handle patient positioning and transfers, input patient data into the C-Arm, ensure HIPAA compliance, manage supplies, and help with imaging and documentation in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• At least 1 year of hands-on in a sterile procedural environment in the last 5 years. Must have scrubbed cases.
• ARRT Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians.
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes.

IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab. We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.

Monday-Friday, Day Shift | No call, no weekends, no holidays

Location: Nashville, TN 37212

As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, you will assist in preparing patients and procedure rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready. You will maintain a sterile environment, assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments, and help with patient positioning and transfers.

Working conditions

Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities are available.
