Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Indiana is seeking a Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology Technologist on a full‑time basis. The role involves four 10‑hour shifts with an on‑call rotation for nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile fields, adhering to radiation safety and infection control protocols, and documenting in EMR.

Qualifications

• Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography (ARRT RT(R))
• Indiana ISDH Radiologic Technologist license
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
• 0–3 years relevant experience
• Ability to set up sterile field and assist in interventional procedures
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of cross sectional and vascular anatomy
• Documentation in EMR

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures, including scrub tech duties when appropriate
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
• Follow radiation safety protocols and understand patient dose alert levels and escalation procedures
• Determine appropriate supplies for procedures and set up sterile field
• Communicate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Document necessary information in EMR

This is a full-time Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology Technologist opportunity. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts and includes an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Assists radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures including acting as scrub tech where appropriate. Adheres to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Follows radiation safety protocols and is aware of patient dose alert levels and escalation procedure. Understands and has knowledge of complex procedures. Demonstrates ability to determine appropriate supplies for procedure and sets up sterile field. Possesses advanced knowledge of cross sectional and vascular anatomy. Communicates and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team (critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc). Documents necessary information in EMR.

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist.
• Experience as a radiologic technologist, preferred.
