Sign on Bonus Eligible: $10,000 (2 year commitment)GENERAL OVERVIEW:This job performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies (15%)Utilizes proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions. Follows policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling (15%)Assists with preparing, positioning, and draping patients and participates in the interventional space to assure correct patient and surgical site (15%)Understands, anticipates, and adapts to interventional provider preference and patient care variables, and contributes to updating interventional provider preference materials (15%)Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image distribution (15%)Maintains adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations. Participates in inventory control and monitoring (15%)Implements radiation protection and patient safety standards (10%)Other duties as assigned or requested.QUALIFICATIONS:MinimumAssociate's degree or certification from a technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Radiography Certification and Registration (R ) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification and Registration (VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Within 24 months of hire. Employees in an Interventional Radiology Technologist role (prior to September 1, 2024) who do not have a VI certification are not required to obtain them; employees in an Interventional Radiology Technologist role with existing VI certification are required to maintain active certifications.
