Job summary

Prostate Centers USA in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a qualified Radiology/IR Technician to join our IR Centers team and support endovascular procedures in an outpatient setting.

You will prepare patients and rooms, assist with procedures, and maintain sterile technique while ensuring accurate data entry and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• At least 1 year of hands-on in a sterile procedural environment in the last 5 years; scrubbed cases.
• ARRT Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians.
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes.

IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab. We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.

Working conditions

Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities are available.
