Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in New York. The role requires 5x8 hour days with on-call/callback/holiday coverage as needed by the unit.

A 6-month contractor option will be considered to start, with on-call shifts distributed across a 7-week block, including weekend calls. The candidate will assist Radiologists, operate imaging equipment, and support patient care across age groups while maintaining HIPAA and department policies.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience required.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
• NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start).
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic quality images.
• Works with department staff to resolve problems expediently and maintains patient rights.
• Maintains medication security and ensures it is accessed only by authorized personnel.
• Provides radiology services to all age groups and demonstrates professional interpersonal skills.
• Operates radiology equipment proficiently and reports malfunctions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality. Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently.
• Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient s rights in all interfaces with patients.
• Employee understands his/her role on maintaining medication security to authorized personnel only.
• Demonstrates competency in providing health care services in own job category to all age groups.
• Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups.

AREAS OF EMPHASIS

• Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment and reports malfunctions to manager or lead.
• Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to department advantage-assisting others and or assisting with room turnover.

DOCUMENTATION/INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

• Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
• Participates in hospital performance improvement activities (BPI projects, task forces, etc.) when warranted.
• Demonstrate confidentiality using own password and all patient care modules.
• Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel in other areas of the hospital while maintaining good phone etiquette.
