Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC, is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to oversee patient care during invasive procedures in the Interventional Lab. The position includes circulating, physiologically monitoring patients, and performing sterile scrub duties for diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-endovascular procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and ARRT.
• Experience in Neurovascular and General Interventional procedures required.
• Excellent understanding of endovascular and neuro-endovascular devices required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
• ARRT-R Radiography required.
• SCRQSA required.

Responsibilities

• Circulating and physiologically monitoring patients during procedures.
• Perform sterile scrub procedures for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Assist with vascular and neuro-endovascular procedures.
• Direct supervision of students as directed by supervisor.
• After-hours coverage for acute emergent vascular and neurovascular cases.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Interventional Technologistis responsible fortheoverall care and evaluation of patients having invasive procedures performed in the Interventional Lab. These duties include circulating, physiologicallymonitoringpatients during procedures, and performing sterile scrub procedures for both diagnostic and interventionalprocedures, vascular andneuro-endovascularproceduresand other physician guided invasive procedures. This position reports directly to the supervisor of Interventional Radiology.This position will require afterhourscoverage for acute emergent vascular and neurovascular procedures.This role will work directly with multiple Radiologists and Neurovascular Surgeons.Job may includethedirect supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.Employeemust have the same licensure or have completed the sametraining tosatisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student.Direct supervisionmeansthe primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
