Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist Lead to operate imaging equipment for angiography and cardiac catheterization and assist in IR lab procedures. You will scrub, circulate, and monitor patients while ensuring safety and quality.

We value team-oriented care, accurate imaging, and clear communication with radiologists and patients. This role requires radiology licensure, ARRT, and IR experience with BLS/ACLS timelines.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from a 2-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered with minimum IR experience.
• Minimum of three to five years licensed Radiology experience including at least one year IR experience.
• Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience is a plus; BLS on hire and ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accountability and care in procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner.
• Prepare and position patients and equipment safely and according to procedures.
• Perform radiographic procedures accurately and timely per SOPs.
• Assist in administration of contrast media per policy.
• Obtain high-quality radiographic images and ensure quality standards.
• Document pertinent patient information prior to exams and obtain informed consent.
• Maintain effective communication with patients explaining procedures.
• Maintain proactive communication with radiologists.
• Rotate call as assigned.

Education
