Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Special Procedures Technician to perform ionizing radiation procedures, regulate angiography equipment, and develop and organize films. The role supports the Radiology Department and requires on-call availability.

You will work 4 weekdays x 9-hour shifts with weekend call, hold Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license, ARRRT(R), and an Associate Degree, plus BCLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R).
• Associate Degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• 1 - 3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures with ionizing radiation for detecting pathology.
• Regulates angiographic equipment for special procedures.
• Develops and organizes films.
• Operates equipment safely while maintaining ALARA standards.
• Establishes rapport with staff and supports Radiology Department.
• Position requires call.
