Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General team is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist - Interventional Radiology to join its Radiology Department for day shifts. You will assist physicians in specialized imaging procedures and ensure patient safety and high-quality images.

Minimum qualifications include completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology Program, Ohio Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT registration, and Cardiovascular Technology certification within two years of hire;

Qualifications

• Completion of approved School of Radiologic Technology Program.
• License as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Certification through ARRT in Cardiovascular Technology within two years of hire
• Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform exams as directed by radiologist to ensure appropriate views of anatomy are taken that will facilitate an accurate diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
• Maintain adequate level of supplies.
• Comply with all Radiology Information System and PACS entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors.
• Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, co-workers and self by using appropriate radiation and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
• Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect. Provides supervision and feedback to students as they perform procedures.
• Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure, position specific ongoing competencies and professional growth.
