Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for our RWJ Hamilton facility. The role involves performing complex angiographic and interventional radiology procedures with independence, ensuring patient safety and precise imaging while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff.

Applicants should have ARRT Radiography registry, NJ certification, BLS, and at least two years in radiology with special procedures experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiological Technology Program meeting ASRT and New Jersey Certification Board requirements.
• Active ARRT registration in Radiography and BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years radiology experience with direct special procedures exposure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, position for procedures, and manage contrast administration as needed.
• Operate diagnostic and fluoroscopy equipment to ensure safe, accurate imaging.
• Assist physicians during angiographic/interventional procedures with sterile technique.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment; report issues promptly to leadership.
• Utilize EMR, scheduling, and PACS to label and retrieve patient images.
