Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to prepare patients, perform interventional procedures, and support the Radiologist in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include patient safety, documentation, and active participation in quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires ARRT registration, BLS CPR, and experience in interventional radiology; cross-training programs may fulfill experience requirements.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology; CV preferred.
• BLS Provider CPR required.
• Six months' relevant experience required (minimum in Interventional Radiology) or completion of MWHC/MIF cross-training program.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional procedures and verify orders.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic interventional procedures across age groups.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to radiation safety practices.
• Supervise and instruct students in the IR department.
• Monitor inventory and ensure supplies are available.
• Document patient and procedural data for accurate billing.
