Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support the Interventional Radiologist during procedures and ensure high-quality patient care in a busy department. As our Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will provide assistance to the Interventional Radiologist during radiographic interventional procedures, contributing significantly to the operations of the department. You will work within the boundaries set by the standards of the profession and adhere to all State and Federal regulations.
Every day you will prepare patients and the procedure room, ensuring all specialized equipment, imaging systems, and supplies are readily available and properly functioning. You will operate various imaging modalities, including fluoroscopy, providing real-time technical support to the physician.
To be successful in this role, you will possess an in-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and interventional radiology procedures, coupled with strong technical proficiency in radiation safety and sterile technique. You will demonstrate superior critical thinking skills, collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team in high-pressure clinical situations.
