Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform radiology examinations and interventional procedures, including on-call coverage. You will review records, prepare equipment, and explain procedures with compassionate patient care.

You will operate imaging devices, assist physicians during procedures, ensure image quality, and maintain documentation and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Reviews patient\'s medical record prior to each examination to obtain and record identifying information required for the procedure and patient records.
• Determines equipment/supply requirements and tests special equipment such as contrast media injectors, program selectors, and film changers to ensure correct operation.
• Informs and explains examination purposes and procedures to the patient prior to testing in a caring, compassionate manner.
• Performs routine radiology and special procedure examinations as ordered by physician, prepares patient, operates imaging equipment, assists during procedures, monitors patient condition, and ensures patient safety and image quality.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice and/or clinical priorities for documentation (assessment, radiology procedure, and patient response).
• Confers and collaborates with patient/family/hospital staff in a courteous manner, promoting patient satisfaction.
• Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient information and adheres to HIPAA and related policies.
• Responds to emergency situations and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Maintains department records, utilizes the patient computer system, and ensures data entry and PACS transmission.
• Participates in quality/performance improvement and collects quality data for monitoring performance.
• Provides support to radiology and other staff, assists in orientation of new staff and students, and participates in unit based improvement activities.
• Assists in care and maintenance of equipment and reports malfunctions; maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and personnel.
