Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic equipment for neurovascular angiographic procedures and to assist radiologists in a fast-paced imaging suite.

You will prepare patients, manage contrast injections, maintain records, and coordinate workflow across divisions; ARRT radiography and vascular interventional credentials (and BLS) are required. Duke Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate or program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• ARRT radiography certification within 18 months of employment.
• Two years' experience as an Interventional technologist; four years for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment for neurovascular angiographic and interventional procedures.
• Position patients and immobilize as necessary.
• Assist radiologist during angiographic and interventional procedures.
• Scrub to assist with catheter/guidewire passage.
• Load power injectors with contrast media and manage injections.
• Maintain studies within the Image Archival System.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow within neuro/vascular suites.
• Maintain supply inventory and assist with training of new staff.
