Job summary

Qualifications

  • Cardio/Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification required.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Continuously displays a positive attitude that contributes to improving patient satisfaction results. Applies customer service skills consistent with the organization’s programs. Utilizes the service recovery process to address customers’ concerns or complaints. Treats all customers with dignity, respect, courtesy and compassion. Recognizes customer needs and solves problems early.   • Financial Stability: Advises supervisor of current or anticipated problems. Effectively uses time and resources to accomplish duties. Self‑starter who willingly puts forth effort and time and performs tasks with minimal supervision. Resolves conflicting matters and schedules with peers and other staff. Accepts assignments and completes them on time. Uses the time and attendance system and follows related policies and procedures. Reports compliance issues promptly.
  • Patient Throughput: Keeps patients informed and provides periodic updates. Positively contributes to the organizational goal of patient throughput within scope of position.
  • Performance Improvement: Actively promotes and supports organization’s improvement initiatives. Is receptive to differing ideas and embraces change. Communicates clearly and concisely. Demonstrates compliance with state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • Image Production Quality: Accomplishes all positioning for each procedure without error and applies immobilization devices for patient comfort. Selects proper technique factors and produces images of desired quality. Assists in delivery of care and accepts responsibility in delivering contrast media accurately.
  • Assistance & Leadership: Assists and evaluates students and support personnel. Accepts Lead Tech responsibility in absence and performs in a manner that will not produce complaints.
  • Film Development & Processing: Processes film with no artifacts. Produces subtraction prints and/or film duplication on request. Supports darkroom personnel. Ensures films and procedure records are transferred to the file room within one hour after completion. Maintains all hospital equipment, inspects, cleans, and reports damage.
  • Learning & Development: Identifies learning needs. Attends in‑service lectures and reads professional literature. Seeks assistance for complex learning needs.
  • Sterile Technique & Calibration: Participates in sterile technique presentations. Ensures calibration for accuracy, performs density tests, and conducts proper warm‑up procedures.
  • Radiation Protection: Provides radiation protection per prescribed standards. Ensures personal exposure does not exceed regulatory limits. Uses collimation to eliminate excess radiation.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Documents records and charges accurately. Ensures all films are identified correctly. Provides exam status and information without error.
  • Miscellaneous Functions: Accepts special projects and meets specified deadlines. Keeps director informed of potential complaints and issues.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in X‑ray, Cath Lab, or radiology special procedures training.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Radiologic Technologist license by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRT).
  • Cardio/Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)(VI)(CV).
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
Work Shift

Days (United States of America). This role follows the standard schedule for LCMC Health staff in the days shift.
