Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) to join on a PRN basis. You will operate imaging equipment and assist in angiography and cardiac catheterization, scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patient status.

You will demonstrate compassionate care, prepare patients and equipment, obtain quality radiographs, document patient information, and communicate with radiologists while rotating on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Associate degree from a 2-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) active.
• Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential considered with IR experience.
• Minimum of two years licensed Radiology experience including at least one year IR experience.
• 18 months experience in special procedures.
• Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience is a plus.
• BLS required on hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in angiography and cardiac catheterization.
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor patient status during IR procedures.
• Prepare and position patients and equipment per procedures.
• Obtain high quality radiographs and ensure image quality standards.
• Obtain and document patient history, allergies, and consent per policy.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and radiologists.
• Be part of rotating on-call schedule.
