Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support procedural suites, ensure sterile technique, and help position patients while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include preparing instruments, documenting procedures, managing supplies, and following provider preferences. Required ARRT certification with preferred IR technologist experience; additional clearances and credentials may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical school certification completed.
• Radiography Certification and Registration (ARRT) maintained.
• Experience as Interventional Radiology Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up the interventional suite with instruments and supplies.
• Follows aseptic technique and standard precautions for meds, contrast, and specimens.
• Positions and drapes patients, participates to ensure correct patient and site.
• Adapts to provider preferences and patient care variables; update supplier preferences as needed.
• Completes documentation for procedures including regulatory, billing and image distribution.
• Maintains supplies; participates in inventory control and monitoring.
• Implements radiation protection and patient safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
