The position is pool/PRN with responsibilities including preparing equipment, assisting physicians, and maintaining safety and documentation standards in a high-tech cath lab environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience in Cardiac Catheterization lab experience required.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS may be required depending on unit specific needs.
• Must Have One Of The Following: RCIS or CI certification.
• In addition to the requirements above, must possess and maintain one of the following: CVT– RCIS certification OR RCES; RRT, CRT, or ARRT R.T.(R) license; Paramedic NREMT-P certification with RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention for cardiovascular procedures.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to effectively plan and manage the department.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures and protocols.
• Maintains high standards of patient care, documentation, and professionalism.

Education

CVT—RCIS or RCES: High school diploma or GED

RRT or CRT: Associate degree from an accredited respiratory therapy education program.

R.T.(R): Completion of an accredited radiography program.

Paramedic—NREMT-P: Completion of an accredited paramedic education program.
