Job summary

HSHS operates St John's Hospital in Springfield, IL, seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging under physician orders. You will operate radiology equipment, monitor patient response, and support sterile technique during procedures.

Required are an Associate degree in radiologic technology, ARRT RT(R) certification, and a state radiographer license with at least 2 years in interventional radiology; BLS is required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology is required.
• ARRT RT(R) certification is required and BLS is required.
• 2 years of interventional radiology or special procedures experience is required.
• Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment as directed.
• Assist physicians by monitoring, passing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic data for physician use and participate in education/quality improvement.
