Job summary

1200 MH-Memphis Hospitals is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing complex procedures with radiographic equipment. You will support operational excellence and comply with quality standards within the radiology team.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical degree or diploma in radiology, have 1–3 years of experience, and hold necessary certifications such as BASIC LIFE SUPPORT and Registered Radiologic Technologist.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of clinical competencies as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist.
• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist certification required.

Interventional Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing complex specialized tasks in operating radiographic equipment to perform interventional procedures, modeling appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods.
• Assists in the development of others through guidance and teaching.
• Promotes professional practice of all members of the radiological services team.
• Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
• Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment.
• Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
• Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service routinely in all interactions.

Education / Formal Training

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology.

Radiology Work Experience

• Interventional radiologic technologist with 1–3 years of clinical competencies in special procedures.

Licenses & Certifications

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association (Required)
• Registered Radiologic Technologist – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – American Heart Association (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS) preferred.

Physical Demands

• Medium work – exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
• Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Good balance and coordination, close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision.
• Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact.
• Exposure to patient body fluids as well as hazardous or poisonous materials.
• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.

Supervision

No supervisory or lead responsibilities are assigned, except the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate various job responsibilities to other associates and observe/instruct student technologists.
