Job summary

Ascension in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Via Christi, St Francis facility. This full-time day-shift role features four 10-hour shifts, 7:00am–5:30pm, plus holiday and call rotation, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

You will perform imaging procedures including vascular and interventional scans, calibrate equipment, ensure patient safety, and uphold radiation safety standards. Eligible for tuition discounts through our partnership with Wichita State University.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) or Cardiographic Tech or ARRT Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography, obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and precisely calibrate imaging equipment to capture high-quality, accurate diagnostic scans while ensuring the patient feels safe and comfortable.
• Perform specialized imaging procedures—including complex vascular, nonvascular, and interventional scans—working with Radiologists and Physician Assistants to deliver diagnostic insights.
• Administer contrast media safely and attentively monitor patients throughout procedures and advocate for them if their condition changes.
• Uphold strict radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to guarantee a secure, compliant environment for patients and staff.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
