Job summary

UMC Health System in Texas seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, with hours Mon-Fri 0730-1600 and call. You will work with providers and nurses, assisting in procedures with anesthesia or sedation, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with at least 2 years of general radiologic experience is required, as well as a Texas MRT license, ARRT registration within 12 months, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• +2 years of General Radiologic practice experience.
• Current Texas MRT license and ARRT registration within 12 months of hire.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform Routine or Trauma Radiologic Tests and use imaging skills to treat patients.
• Gather and exchange patient information with nursing and physicians to ensure proper identification and history.
• Set up and use all diagnostic equipment in each room and rotation after in-servicing.
• Set up Exam and OR rooms for Fluoroscopic and OR Surgical exams, including equipment, trays, contrast, supplies.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment; notify Lead Tech of malfunctions.
• Maintain order and cleanliness to prevent cross contamination in patient areas.
• Manage documentation and paperwork following exams; use Cerner RIS system.
• All other related assigned responsibilities.
