Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Casual/PRN) in Wilmington, Delaware. The IR Technologist performs diagnostic, fluoroscopic and interventional procedures under a radiologist, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging records.

The role requires ARRT registration, Delaware radiology licensure and BLS certification, with VI certification preferred. On-call duties and flexible scheduling are expected, with strong teamwork and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Specialized training beyond high school is required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience is required.
• ARRT Registration is required upon hire.
• Delaware Radiology Technologist License is required upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Advanced VI certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, fluoroscopic and interventional radiology procedures under supervision of a radiologist.
• Handle patient care and operation/maintenance of IR equipment.
• Ensure proper identification of all images in PACS and documentation in the electronic patient record.
• Maintain radiation safety practices and wear lead shielding.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Improvement programs.
• Maintain inventory of IR supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule and on-call as needed.
