Qualifications

• Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school) required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience required.
• ARDMS registration or ARDMS eligibility with completion within 1 year of employment.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Ultrasound imaging protocols and accurate preparation instructions to patients/families.
• Perform portable ultrasound exams in inpatient units, clinics, ED and OR as needed.
• Ensure proper patient identification and image labeling; PACS interaction and data entry.
• Administer and document contrast media under radiologist supervision; monitor for allergic reactions.
• Screen patients for contraindications and ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with departments and colleagues.
• Assist in training new personnel, students, and physicians.
