Job summary

UVA Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a broad range of vascular and non-vascular procedures in a high-acuity environment. You will work with interventional radiologists, nurses, anesthesia providers, residents, and fellows to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes radiation safety, teamwork, education of patients and families, and collaboration across specialties within a Magnet-recognized academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
• ARRT R.T. certification required; ARRT VI within one year.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, and supplies for complex cases.
• Operate fluoroscopic and advanced imaging systems for real-time guidance.
• Maintain strict radiation safety, sterile technique, and infection prevention.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the procedural experience.
• Collaborate across multiple specialties to coordinate care for complex patients.
• Contribute to quality improvement and academic mission through interaction with students and residents.
