Job summary

AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a skilled cardiovascular professional to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will participate in 4x10 hour shifts with on-call duties and contribute to patient care across the cardiovascular team.

The role requires RN or RT or RCIS/RCES/other eligible credentials, BLS and ACLS, plus 1+ healthcare experience. The facility offers comprehensive benefits and a robust healthy work environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy and vascular anatomy.
• Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Knowledge of healthcare concepts and procedures in the hospital setting.
• Ability to monitor vital signs with clinical equipment.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Experience with Windows operating system.
• Maintain required registries and licenses for invasive cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Responds to clinical emergencies and works within scope of practice.
• Administers and evaluates treatments and medications per policy.
• Verifies orders and communicates with physicians.
• Maintains and sterilizes equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Produces accurate medical records for interventions.
• Trains and supervises new personnel.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains compliant medical records and safety standards.
• Demonstrates cross-functional leadership within the cardiovascular team.
• Takes scheduled emergency calls and responds promptly.
