Job summary

The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI, part of Brown University Health, seeks an X-ray technologist to perform vascular and interventional exams under supervision of interventional radiologists and the Imaging Manager, while upholding the organization’s compassionate, patient-centered care standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal training in radiologic technology.
• Must be registered radiologic technologist in Rhode Island.
• Three months aseptic technique training; catheterization experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist in diagnosis and interventional procedures.
• Maintain aseptic conditions during procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment and prepare supplies.
• Prepare and drape patient; monitor vital signs and contrast reactions.
• Schedule, document, and ensure proper charge codes on requisitions.
